I need a little sunshine in my day today, and Sarcastic Mom's fabulous international photo meme always does the trick; not just highlighting the best moments of my week, but allowing me a little peek at the lives and loves of fellow bloggers around the globe. If you haven't already, hit the Weekly Winners button below and go on a trip.
Inspired guilt-ridden by Sarcastic Mom/Lotus's ever-creative eye, which lifts her weekly offerings beyond the mere snapshot, I stepped up to the challenge this week and looked at my world a little more closely (literally). I like the results. What do you think?
A little blue...
A "Country Style" cover?
Keeping an eye on it
Last days of summer
Moving from cute to elegant...
...but let's try cute again?
Bright spot on a dull day
Colour, texture, suggestive imagery...it's got it all...
Frangipanis have style
Dandelion architecture
How do I love thee...?
And finally, all my work is upstaged by a self-portrait of the wee man himself
My thanks as ever to the wee man and Mahlia the kitten, who effortlessly outshine the other natural beauties around me.

Your little man is beautiful. I love the flowers in his hair.
Mountain Mama... the country style cover photo and the dandelion are just beautiful! They all are really, but I especially like them.
Trust you're holding up OK!
The self portrait of your son is AWESOME...in focus, centered, with full face in view. And that hair...oh that hair...it's amazing!
Your floral photos are beautiful as well. Such vibrant colors!!
Look at those eyelashes!! Swoon!!!
:) Sweet!!
I love the kitty!
And the "wee man" is precious.
Such great shots! I love flower photos... and then the kitty and the Wee Man!!! I completely agree with your last statement. :-)
His lashes are amazing!
"Oh, you love me, you really love me..." or more to the point you love the pictures which is gratifying and I thank you! lol
Aren't those eyelashes killers?! It's a boy thing in my family...my 'baby' brother has them too. Takes me $30 mascara to get mine. Go figure.
What are those red berry thingies? That was a great photo.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Love 'em all, but really love the dandelion.
Are you ready for your interview? (http://www.citizenofthemonth.com/2008/01/18/the-great-interview-experiment/)
:)
1. If you were to give your four-year-old self advice, what would you tell her?
2. How do you make someone feel appreciated?
3. What do you find most beautiful about yourself?
4. What's your comfort food?
5. What would happen if you became [more] fearless?
The "red berry thingies" are the seed pods of the featured red flower which I thought was a Strelitzia, like the Bird of Paradise flower from New Guinea, but was correctly identified here by jenty as a canna! (thanks, jenty :) )
And thanks, Toni, for the questions...see my next post for the answers... :)
