Weekly Winners Sunday Meme- Can I play catch-ups?

Let's not talk about how long it's been since I've stumped up for Weekly Winners - indulge me, by ooh-ing and aah-ing at the gorgeous Aussie Christmas the wee man and I shared with my family up on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. It was warm, fun, relaxed and a wonderful antidote to the tainted memories of past Christmases.

And say "Hi" to the gorgeous Lotus (Sarcastic Mom), whose fabulous institution is the Weekly Winners. Give her a big hug while you're there - just because...

The wee man adored doing workouts with his Uncle J

The self-titled Saucepan Man (How many readers of the Magic Faraway Tree here?)

Gorgeous beach afternoons, each of us to our own passions: me, with my camera; the wee man, sand and water; my mum, her yoga; Rusty, socialising...

Christmas Eve...

And then it was Christmas Day...

...back to the beach...

...before home for the Christmas BBQ. These 2 just as fascinated with fire as last year!

Great beach shots! Living in Florida, I've spent a few winter days on the shore too.

long time feed-lurker her (can't even remember how I first stumbled over you and put you in my reader) but I had to say "I remember the saucepan man" - I loved the Faraway Tree.

And oh my - that is one BIG dog.

We LOVE the faraway tree books!!!!!
Those beach shots are particularly gorgeous. The wee man looks like such a natural surfy dude.

Hi, all, and thanks!

secret agent mama - She's been doing yoga almost all her adult life (and I think it shows)...these are not actually the best I took of her that day, but I like them.

Tara R. - Must have been the late afternoon light that made these look wintry. It's summer here in Oz, and we went to the beach late because it was too damn hot to stay long earlier in the day!

Secret Mom Thoughts - I love the 5th shot too. He was so wrapped in his play, and so cute.

Jeanie - Trick of the light again? Rusty the dog is actually a medium-small sized dog, a Red Heeler x. BIg presence, though - he's like a rock star in our village, so many people know and love him - some who don't even know MY name. Thanks for de-lurking (and hanging in there through my "dry" spots...lol).

and Alison - We've just finished reading More Tales of the Faraway Tree for the 5th time...as soon as we finish, the wee man wants to start again. Enid Blyton was my first favourite author, too - I learnt to read on repetitions of her books!
And you think the wee man looks like a surfy dude? Go back 6 months and see what he looked like when he had his curls...

These are such awesome shots! I am so ready for a little summer just now. I like the way you captured the days and the tinkering you did with the edges of some of the pictures.
