After a long time in the home-and-child focused haze that has enveloped me, I'm coming back out into the world. The wee man has just turned 3, started preschool and family daycare, and I am clawing some space for me in my life.
In fact, things have become a bit hectic after the dreamy drift of days of the last few years! I've leapt into the whole community volunteer bit, taking on the role of co-coordinator for our local playgroup, plus secretary of the preschool management committee...plus I've committed to writing something weekly as a "community correspondent" for our local rag. I'm busy, sometimes a bit stretched - and I'm loving it.
I'm still unsure what direction I'm moving in as the wee man moves off into the world of school etc...but there is a sense that things are going in the right direction. For the first time in a long time, I am genuinely happy on a day-to-day basis. Life is never perfect, but I like the shape it's in.
